Actually, if you bothered to actually inform yourself before being condescending to others, you would know that namah, the root, is derived from Sanskrit and reads as bow, and te means “to you”. Meaning “namas te” is literally “I bow to you”. In Hinduism, it is traditionally taken as “I bow to the divine in you”.
